Raddysh is a depth defenseman with limited upside, so Tampa is essentially selling low after his injury issues last season. The 5th rounder is reasonable value for a team clearing cap space, but it doesn't move the needle much for either roster construction-wise.
Wait, is this part of a bigger move or are they just dumping salary? I'm getting nervous about what this signals for Tampa's deadline plans in July.
Of course Tampa trades away a defenseman instead of fixing their actual problems. Classic move by that front office.

I'm not surprised by Tampa's front office moves, they've consistently prioritized short-term wins over long-term sustainability, hence the reason for trading a depth defenseman like Raddysh and burning through their prospect capital. It's not like this is new information or anything earth-shattering, but it does reinforce my concerns about their ability to properly assess organizational talent.
