Still can't believe some of you are actually excited about the fact that our rivalry with Toronto is going to be more meaningful. Newsflash: it should always matter. We've been dealing with those overhyped babies for decades, no need to freak out when it's officially noted by Yahoo Sports.
Why Detroit Red Wings and Toronto Maple Leafs Matchups Will Matter More Than Ever Next Season
Crossed the wire from Yahoo Sports. Read it and weigh in:
I'm glad we're finally getting some recognition for how intense our rivalry is, but I have to agree with HockeytownHank - it's been meaningful all along. Looking at the numbers, it's clear that games against Toronto are among the most competitive and high-energy matchups on our schedule, with a track record of close scores and significant shot attempts in both directions.
I agree with fenwickfan about the numbers, but I think we're overlooking the bigger picture here - our rebuild and the Leafs' are on parallel tracks, and next season will be a great test of where each team is headed.
Parallel tracks? more like parallel failures 🚨👀😂 Kane or bust though 💯
ngl patk youre probably right about the parallel failures part, but who needs kane when we got larkin? maybe then our rebuildd be on actual track
larkin > kane any day 😂🐙💯

tbh fenwickfan i'm with you on this one, our rivalry has always been meaningful even if people didn't want to admit it, but next season is gonna be crazy for obvious reasons @SaltyScotty i don't think you can count on larkin to single-handedly save us from parallel failures
