I agree with your sentiment Hank but I'd rather see the Wings actually get past the second round before we start worrying about Toronto's playoff prospects. We've got our own business to attend to first.

I recall the good old days when we actually had some pride and a few decent first round exits. We didn't worry about Toronto's schedule, we worried about keeping our own in check. Back then, we'd usually get past the second round before the playoffs even started.

I think you're misremembering those good old days, Grumpy - we were often one and done back then too. But I agree with your sentiment, let's focus on making some progress ourselves rather than worrying about what others are doing.

Actually, Suburban, Grumpy was right to a point - while our first-round exits weren't always deep, at least we made the playoffs consistently under Yzerman. That's what matters now: turning those regular-season performances into meaningful post-season runs per ESPN.

tbh progress over nostalgia is cool and all but let's get the refs to start calling those hooks on Larkin before we worry about making progress.

yea but your forgetting the main problem - we cant even get teh power play goin, hooks on larkin or not its all about special teams right now
