Kienan Draper, a 24-year-old forward prospect, signed an amateur tryout agreement with the Grand Rapids Griffins in late April and appeared in two regular-season games with the AHL affiliate. He recently completed his collegiate career at the University of Michigan, where he recorded 18 points in 40 games as a senior and finished with 40 total points in 133 games while helping the Wolverines win two Big Ten championships.

Kid, you're getting ahead of yourself there. Draper's just tryin' out with the Griffins, so let's give 'im a chance to prove himself before jumpin' to conclusions. The Wings have their eye on prospects like him, and it's not uncommon for them to invite some collegiate kids in for an AO tryout.
